The Stripped Invader

Today the captain minions at school have been reading the striped invader. We are learning to identify key words and summarise the paragraph. Here is my summary. The queen wasp hibernates until spring. It hides so bugs can't get the queen wasp. The queen wasp makes hexagonal cells to lay eggs, it has hexagonal holes with slaver inside. Over four weeks some larvae turns into pupae. Over summer, the wasps will gather several kilograms of insects to eat. Spiders, caterpillars, flies are all to eat. To help get the wasps to get  more worker wasps come to get pollien.

What is a key word? a describing word

Where in your story were they used? bold words.

  1. Dear Marley,
Ka pai with the summary of your reading. Aren't bees interesting? I have a friend who is a bee keeper and we really enjoy the honey from his hexagonal cells in the hive. Cheers Miss B
